Content, Content, Content

December 4, 2009 - 6:36am by Jesus Mann

Just as the mantra with real estate is location, location, location. So the mantra for blog owners should be content, content, content ...

1) Unique content - be aware of duplicate content: check at copyscape.com
2) Targetted Content - choose your topics carefully. Aim to write about a keyword rich topic that has low competition but high search engine traffic.
3) Interesting Content - readers do not want dross, they want good informative content that is easy to read. It takes a lot of time and effor to get readers. Don't lose new readers with poor content.

How to find targetted content
Use such tools a Market Samurai or Traffic Travis (there is a free version) to find keyword phrases (typically 3 or 4 word phrases) that have high search volumes but low competition.

Construct your blog post with your keyword in the title, headings, first paragraph of content and liberally spread throughout the rest of the content.

Make sure your blog is SEO optimised to get the max benefit - more seo advice << here
