Updated Drafts of SVG Parameters 1.0 | 06/15/2009 - 20:00 |
2009-06-16: The SVG Working Group has published two Working Drafts: SVG Parameters 1.0, Part 1: Primer and SVG Parameters 1.0, Part 2: Language. The SVG Parameters specification is an SVG 2.0 Module to provide a declarative way to incorporate parameter values into SVG content. Often, users may wish to create a single resource, and reuse it several times with specified variations, and this specification provides a means to do so without the use of scripts. The Primer suggests how to use the SVG Parameters specification with SVG 1.2. Learn more about the Graphics Activity. (Permalink) |

The Real “Why XHTML” Discussion | 06/02/2009 - 11:10 |
The previous post was a document on XHTML2, sent in error. I noticed that Steven’s document didn’t match our conversation, but I made an honest mistake thinking what he sent in error was what he wanted to use to address the concerns. So, I’ve left the other post up, but please know that this is the real discussion, and has lots more detail and insight than the other document, which is more of an overview of XHTML2 core principles. Forgive me, and readers, Behold! It’s the real “Why XHTM |

Google wave and implications for science | 06/01/2009 - 03:50 |
Google Wave (see Google Wave first reactions and links and comments) has clearly wowed a lot of people and this in itself is important. Assuming that a combination of the technology and the excitement turns it into the The Next Big Thing that in itself is world-changing. So I’ll assume that it will happen and will sweep the public face of the internet. Nothing is really new and we can find these ideas in Ted Nelson, TimBL and others. But the added features are: there is an engineering co |
